All women welcome (including pregnant mums from 14 weeks, and postpartum from 3 months).
19 February - ‘Connecting with the core: building inner strength and confidence’
Our core muscles are key to maintaining a healthy back and good posture. When our core is not engaged (due to poor posture, injury, and childbirth, for example), other muscles overcompensate and the body becomes tired and tense. In fact, a weak core is the main cause of back pain.
Connecting with the core also activates inner strength, bringing greater confidence and self-awareness. It is said: ‘if we do not go within, we go without’.
This workshop is experiential and nurturing; as well as learning how to activate your core, you’ll be able to relax deeply and refresh mind and body.
Venue: Westwerks, 41-43 Portland Road, Hove BN3 5DQ
Cost: £25 (or £20 if payment is received by the Thursday before the workshop). Please check there is space before coming.
Bring: A blanket and yoga mat (there are a few mats to borrow if needed).
Entrance: Please arrive 5 or 10 minutes beforehand. There is a door entry system - you'll see a sign on the door explaining to call 30 for Dru Yoga, then press the green call button. I'll come and open the door.
Parking: On street parking is £3.00 for 4 hours. You can park on the north side of Portland Road or in nearby side streets.
